Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking an Occupational Therapist for inpatient care in Rockford, IL. This full-time role involves evaluating patients, creating individualized treatment plans, and documenting care in electronic medical records.

You will collaborate with the care team, mentor staff, and participate in performance improvement initiatives. The position requires graduation from an accredited OT program, state licensure in WI/IL (as needed), NBCOT certification, and CPR/BLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy.
• Licensed as an occupational therapist in WI or IL (or both).
• NBCOT certification upon initial licensure as required.
• CPR/BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develops individualized treatment plans using therapeutic exercise and manual techniques.
• Maintains accurate electronic documentation and coding.
• Collaborates with physicians and other disciplines to improve outcomes.
• Mentors and trains staff; participates in PI/CQI activities.
• Contributes to cost-saving initiatives and department education.
