Job summary

Mercyhealth in Illinois is seeking an occupational therapist to provide evaluation, treatment planning, and therapy services with a focus on improving function and independence. You will document progress, collaborate with physicians, and mentor staff in a busy clinical setting.

The role supports a 32-hour work week with day shifts and requires licensure in WI, IL, or both, with CPR/BLS within 90 days and NBCOT as applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy.
• Licensed as an occupational therapist in WI, IL or both if required.
• CPR/BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• NBCOT certification upon initial licensure if required.

Responsibilities

• Integrates data to establish a treatment plan for patients.
• Uses exercises, modalities, and manual techniques to address deficits.
• Maintains thorough documentation with accurate coding and billing.
• Communicates with interdisciplinary teams and referring providers to improve outcomes.
• Mentors staff and participates in training and orientation of new partners.
• Contributes to cost-saving initiatives and performance improvement processes.
