Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university.
• Master's or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university.

Responsibilities

• Implements an individualized treatment plan through the use of skilled, evidence-based therapy techniques and functional mobility training.
• Maintains accurate and current documentation in the patient’s medical record and billing documentation.
• Performs ongoing evaluation of patient progress and updates plan of care accordingly.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to discuss patient status and discharge plans.
• Participates in interdisciplinary rounds and communicates effectively with patients, families and staff.
• Delegates appropriate patients to therapy assistants and supervises care delivered by assistants and support staff.
• Contributes to identification of department needs and process improvements.
