Job summary

Mercy Health—St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for inpatient surgery. The role supports the surgical team by preparing sterile instruments and maintaining a sterile field throughout procedures.

Responsibilities include assisting with instrument handling, prepping supplies, and performing surgical counts with the circulating RN. CST certification and BLS are required, with education at an associate level or military equivalent.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in Surgical Technology.
• Certification CST/TS-C/NBSTSA/NCCT required as per location.
• BLS/Heart Association training as required at hire or prior to independent care.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble sterile instruments and supplies.
• Maintain sterile field and assist surgical team.
• Perform surgical counts with the circulating RN.
