Job summary

Mercy Health's Endoscopy department at St. Charles Hospital is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to support operative procedures by providing sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment with the surgical team.

The role requires an Associates degree or equivalent in Surgical Technology and certification eligibility or current certification. Responsibilities include instrument preparation, aseptic technique, and post-procedure room cleanup, with one year of related experience preferred

Qualifications

• Associates Degree, Vocational Certification, or Military Certificate in Surgical Technology (required).
• One year perioperative or related surgical technology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides instruments and supplies to the surgical team during procedures and maintains aseptic technique.
• Prepares, maintains, and organizes sterile supplies and instruments for procedures.
• Performs complete case preparation and adapts instruments, supplies, and equipment as needed.
• Assists with pre- and post-procedure cleaning of the operative room and instruments.
• Prepares and performs surgical skin prep and clipping as indicated.
