Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Manager of Inpatient Operations to support the performance of the Inpatient organization by leading cross-functional initiatives and collaborating with clinical and administrative leaders. This high-visibility role offers exposure to hospital executives and multiple strategic projects focused on improving throughput, transfer processes, and length of stay.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3–5 years of related health care and/or management consulting experience.
• Experience in operations and/or developing and implementing strategic initiatives in a healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Defines, develops and implements short- and long-term strategies with guidance from the Senior Director.
• Analyzes current operations to identify improvement opportunities and develop project plans.
• Runs cross-functional initiatives to meet inpatient goals (transfers, length of stay).
• Works with stakeholders across the organization to accomplish hospital goals and objectives.
• Develops and maintains communication within service departments.
