Job summary

Northwestern Medicine in Winfield, IL is seeking a part-time Nights nurse for the CDH Medical Oncology 4A unit (26 beds), from 7pm to 7:30am with rotating weekends. The unit provides inpatient chemotherapy, symptom management, and palliative care, with a highly engaged supportive team and daily multidisciplinary rounds.

The Staff Nurse Inpatient will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, coordinate with the care team, document progress, and follow ANA standards.

Qualifications

• BSN is required; ADN may be accepted with commitment to obtain BSN within three years.
• Current IL State RN license.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with team.
• Analytical abilities essential for patient care planning.

Responsibilities

• Collects data, identifies outcomes, develops an individualized plan, coordinates care, and evaluates progress.
• Directs care and utilizes nursing resources for direct patient care.
• Collaborates with physicians, families, and staff to coordinate care.
• Participates in shared governance, committee work, and unit projects.
• Evaluates patient responses and documents progress in the health record.
