Job summary

Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, IL is seeking a Staff Nurse Inpatient for the Night shift (7:00 pm–7:30 am) on the CDH Medical Oncology unit. You will provide direct patient care, coordinate with a multidisciplinary team, and ensure quality and safety in a high-acuity setting.

Requirements include a BSN, Illinois RN license, and BLS. ADN may be accepted with commitment to obtain a BSN within three years.

Qualifications

• BSN required for RN position in Illinois.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse is required.
• American Heart Association BLS is required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others.
• ADN is acceptable if there is a commitment to obtain BSN within three years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinically competent, patient-centered nursing care.
• Direct care and supervision of any nursing assistants and support staff.
• Collaborate with patient, family, physicians and health-team members to develop and execute a plan of care.
• Participate in governance, committees and unit-based projects.
• Document patient responses and adjust care plans as needed.
• Apply evidence-based practices to guide nursing decisions.
