Job summary

The University of New Mexico Hospital is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for the Coronary Care Subacute unit. You will supervise nursing and technician staff, assign shifts, and coordinate patient care while using independent judgment and adhering to policies.

You will lead quality initiatives, participate in shared governance, and ensure safe, evidence-based care across neonatal to geriatric patients.

Qualifications

• Program Graduate
• Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate
• Two years directly related experience
• CPR for Healthcare/BLS Prov or Prof Rescuers within 30 days
• RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
• Bachelor's Degree (Nonessential)

Responsibilities

• STRATEGIC INITIATIVE - Participate in nursing quality improvement and monitoring.
• SHARED GOVERNANCE - Support UNMH shared governance model.
• INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT - Assign nursing personnel to specific patients.
• ASSIGNMENT - Schedule assignments based on plan of care and patient needs.
• PATIENT CARE - Deliver safe direct care to an assigned patient group.
• PATIENT SAFETY - Follow safety policies and report concerns.
