Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
• Minimum five years in inpatient/outpatient psychiatric settings.
• Minimum two years of supervision required.
• Experience with verbal de-escalation and safety techniques.
• Knowledge of mental health care principles and patient care planning.
• BLS/CPR training completed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, facilitating and evaluating MHT activities with safety oversight.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with unit rules and programming.
• Demonstrate de-escalation and therapeutic intervention techniques as needed.
• Manage patient environment and complete unit safety checks.
• Provide regular performance training and feedback to staff.
• Complete reviews for MHTs and MHT Leads and support their career development.
