Qualifications

• Must have a valid Texas government ID.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Typing speed of at least 45 words per minute.
• Proficient in computers and standard business software.
• Familiarity with medical terminology preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and confidentiality in handling records.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient records are accurate, complete and properly identified.
• File, scan and organize patient records in designated systems.
• Scan inpatient, observation, and blood transfusion records for billing and release.
• Provide documents and data to hospital departments and authorized outside entities.
• Assist with hospital statistics and data compilation.
• Respond to inquiries and support release of information with appropriate consent.
