Job summary

Medasource is seeking experienced Inpatient Medical Coders for a fully remote contract with a leading regional health system. The role supports high-acuity, multi-specialty inpatient cases.

Candidates should have 3+ years of inpatient coding, CCS (or RHIT/RHIA), and proficiency with Epic EHR and 3M encoder. 6-month contract with potential extension; start ASAP. Remote role aligned with PST hours and requires high accuracy and productivity.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of inpatient coding experience.
• CCS certification preferred; RHIT or RHIA credentials will be considered.
• Experience with Epic EHR and 3M encoder.
• Experience in academic medical center or trauma facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate inpatient coding across Cardiology, Neurology, Surgical cases, Transplants, NICU, and other complex inpatient cases.
• Assign diagnosis and procedure codes per organizational, regulatory, and industry standards.
• Maintain timely and accurate coding in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Consistently meet established productivity and quality expectations.

Medasource is partnering with a leading regional health system to hire experienced Inpatient Medical Coders for a fully remote contract opportunity. This role supports a high-acuity, multi-specialty environment and is ideal for coders with strong experience handling complex inpatient cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform accurate inpatient coding across a wide range of specialties, including: Cardiology, Neurology, Surgical cases, Transplants, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Additional complex inpatient cases
• Assign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes in accordance with organizational, regulatory, and industry standards
• Maintain timely and accurate coding in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Consistently meet established productivity and quality expectations

Qualifications

• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification preferred; RHIT or RHIA credentials will also be considered
• Minimum of three years of inpatient coding experience
• Strong multi-specialty inpatient coding background
• Experience working within an academic medical center or trauma facility preferred
• Proficiency with Epic EHR
• Experience using the 3M encoder
