Job summary

Medasource is seeking experienced Inpatient Medical Coders for a fully remote contract opportunity. This role supports a high-acuity, multi-specialty environment and is ideal for coders with strong experience handling complex inpatient cases.

The contract is 6 months with potential for extension, starting ASAP, and remote with PST hours. Responsibilities include coding across diverse specialties and ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) preferred; RHIT or RHIA credentials will also be considered
• Minimum of three years of inpatient coding experience
• Strong multi-specialty inpatient coding background
• Experience working within an academic medical center or trauma facility preferred
• Proficiency with Epic EHR and 3M encoder

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate inpatient coding across a wide range of specialties, including: Cardiology, Neurology, Surgical cases, Transplants, NICU, Additional complex inpatient cases
• Assign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes in accordance with organizational, regulatory, and industry standards
• Maintain timely and accurate coding in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Consistently meet established productivity and quality expectations

• Maintain timely and accurate coding in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Consistently meet established productivity and quality expectations
