Qualifications

• Must hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration abilities.
• Analytical thinking and problem solving in clinical settings.
• ADN may be acceptable if the candidate commits to obtaining a BSN within three years of start date.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data, defines expected outcomes, and develops an individualized care plan.
• Directs care and determines the appropriate use of any nursing assistants.
• Collaborates with patient, family, physicians and staff to coordinate care and document plans.
• Participates in governance, committees, and unit projects.
• Evaluates patient responses to interventions and updates the care plan based on findings.
• Uses evidence-based practice and current research to guide clinical decisions.
