Job summary

WVU Medicine seeks an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to provide bedside care in an inpatient setting. You will support physicians and registered nurses, implement the plan of care, monitor patient responses, and document changes accurately.

This role requires attention to safety, compassion, and teamwork across shifts. The ideal candidate has an active LPN license, BLS certification within 30 days, and at least one year of clinical experience in acute or inpatient care.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in the state of service or multi-state LPN via eNLC.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Must pass state and federal background checks as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in alignment with the plan of care.
• Assist physicians and nursing staff with examinations and procedures.
• Observe, document and report patient symptoms and progress timely.
• Administer medications and monitor responses per orders.
• Assist in patient and family education and rehabilitation.
