West Virginia University Health System is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide outpatient nursing care under physician supervision. Responsibilities include screening patients, administering medications, and supporting the care team to ensure smooth clinic flow.

The ideal candidate holds an LPN license valid in the state, obtains BLS within 30 days, and demonstrates compassionate patient care in a fast-paced outpatient setting. This role offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license issued by the state where services will be provided or current multi-state LPN license via eNLC.
• Obtain Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Provides direct nursing care to patients in an outpatient medical office setting.
• Uses standards of care and standards of practice to guide care delivery.
• Administers intramuscular, subcutaneous, and oral medications as ordered.
• Consults with the Provider or RN to seek guidance in delivery of nursing care, as necessary.
• Obtains instruction and supervision as necessary from the Provider or RN when implementing nursing technique or practices.
• Performs designated therapeutic procedures to patients as needed.
• Observes, records and reports patient concerns, symptoms, reactions and progress to physician.
• Assists Providers and the RN with examinations and procedures, as assigned.
• Utilizes available supplies in a cost-effective manner to help contain patient costs.
• Provide emotional support to patients and/or families.
• Participate in problem solving and decision making in the outpatient unit.
