Job summary

Stillwater Hospice in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking an Inpatient Registered Nurse (RN) for our inpatient unit. The role requires providing nursing care for terminally ill patients, coordinating with the care team, and ensuring quality comfort measures.

The position is full-time (36 hours/week, Monday–Friday with weekend rotations). Indiana RN licensure, CPR, and hospice experience are preferred. We offer comprehensive benefits and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Prefer one year of recent hospital or home health care experience.
• Must have a current RN license to practice in Indiana.
• Must hold current CPR certification or obtain it during the orientation period.
• Infusion skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for hospice patients by assessing needs and coordinating the care plan.
• Deliver nursing interventions, document findings, and evaluate outcomes.
• Communicate with the interdisciplinary team and families about care plans.
• Ensure adherence to hospice policies and maintain accurate patient records.
• Coordinate discharge planning and ongoing care as needed.
