Job summary

Summa Health in Northeastern Ohio seeks a board certified/eligible Hospice & Palliative Medicine physician to join our team at Akron Hospital Campus. This full-time role emphasizes inpatient care with some outpatient responsibilities, supported by an experienced team of physicians and APPs.

Employed position with competitive compensation and incentives. Teaching opportunities exist in the HPM Fellowship Program and in residency/medical student rotations, with Epic EMR integration across care

Qualifications

• Board certified or eligible in Hospice & Palliative Medicine.
• Fellowship training in Hospice & Palliative Medicine is required.
• Current Ohio medical license or willingness to obtain.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient-focused HPM care with some outpatient duties.
• Provide interdisciplinary team-based care with pharmacists, social workers, and spiritual care staff.
• Engage in teaching within the HPM Fellowship Program and resident rotations.
