Job summary

Summa Health seeks a board-certified/eligible Hospice & Palliative Medicine physician to join our team of 10 physicians and 10 advanced practice providers. The position emphasizes inpatient care with possible outpatient duties.

Employed at the Akron Hospital Campus with competitive compensation, benefits, and incentives including signing bonus, loan assistance, relocation, and CME allowance. Teaching roles in the HPM Fellowship and resident rotations are available.

Qualifications

• Board Certified/Eligible in Hospice & Palliative Medicine.
• Fellowship trained in Hospice & Palliative Medicine.
• Current and unrestricted license in the State of Ohio, or willing to obtain.
• Compassionate, caring demeanor with patients, families, and staff.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient care as the primary focus, with potential outpatient duties.
• Join a team of 10 Physicians and 10 Advanced Practice Providers.
• Participate in teaching within the HPM Fellowship Program and rotations for residents and medical students.
