Job summary

Summa Health is seeking a board certified/board eligible Hospice & Palliative Medicine physician to join our team of 10 Physicians and 10 Advanced Practice Providers. The position is full-time with primary inpatient focus and optional inpatient/outpatient mix.

Main location at Akron Hospital Campus, employment with competitive compensation and incentives. Sign-on bonus, education loan assistance, relocation, and CME allowance are available.

Qualifications

• Board certification or eligibility in Hospice & Palliative Medicine.
• Fellowship training in Hospice & Palliative Medicine.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient focus with potential outpatient components in a hybrid model.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (pharmacists, nurses, social workers, spiritual care).
• Teaching opportunities within HPM Fellowship Program and resident rotations.
• Participation in education for medical students and fellows and care of hospice patients in hospital unit.
