Job summary

Summa Health is seeking a board certified/board eligible Hospice & Palliative Medicine physician to join a team of 10 physicians and 10 advanced practice providers. This full-time role emphasizes inpatient care with optional outpatient duties, located mainly at Akron Hospital Campus, Summa Health Medical Group.

Qualifications

Board Certified/Eligible in Hospice & Palliative Medicine.
Fellowship trained in Hospice & Palliative Medicine.
Current and unrestricted license in the State of Ohio, or willing to obtain.
Compassionate, caring demeanor with patients, families, and staff.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Provide inpatient hospice and palliative care services.
Inpatient and outpatient responsibilities as needed.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team (pharmacists, social workers, spiritual care).
Teaching opportunities within HPM Fellowship Program and rotations.
