Job summary

Froedtert Health in Wisconsin is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator to provide clerical and system coordination for the inpatient care areas at Froedtert Men Falls Hospital. This on-site role supports nursing unit communication and patient care coordination.

The position requires strong customer service, clear communication, and familiarity with Windows/Microsoft Office; a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred and HUC certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience as a Health Unit Coordinator preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology required or must complete course within 6 months of employment.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Completion of formal HUC training program preferred.
• HUC Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing unit communication and activities with physicians, nursing staff, other departments, professional staff, patients and families related to patient care.
• Manage the inpatient unit desk area, facilitating technology use and downtime procedures.
• Support clerical and system coordination to ensure efficient patient care operations.
