The role requires medical terminology knowledge or completion within 6 months and a high school diploma (preferred). HUC training is a plus, with a fast-paced environment and strong customer service expectations.

Qualifications

• A medical terminology knowledge is required or to be completed within 6 months.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Completion of formal Health Unit Coordinator training program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing unit communication and activities with physicians, nursing staff and families.
• Manage the inpatient unit desk area and facilitate use of technology.
• Coordinate downtime procedures and workflow across care teams.
