Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry level Registered Nurse in Inpatient Services to join the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP). The role focuses on providing and coordinating nursing care, including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned patient group within the kidney care team.

As part of the dialysis care team, you will collaborate with RNs, LVNs/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians, participate in education, leadership activities and quality improvement

Qualifications

• Entry level RN with less than 2 years in nephrology nursing.
• Minimum 9 months experience as an RN; 12 months preferred.
• 6 months acute dialysis experience preferred.
• Hemodialysis and/or ICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for assigned patients.
• Coordinate with direct patient care staff (RNs, LVNs/LPNs, Patient Care Technicians).
• Provide patient/family education and learning needs assessments.
• Report patient status variations to health team and adjust care as indicated.
• Direct and provide safe, effective patient care for all modality procedures.
• Participate in staff training and orientation as assigned.
