Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Mishawaka, IN seeks an entry level Registered Nurse for the Inpatient Services CAP 1. The role provides and coordinates clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned patient group.

As part of the kidney disease healthcare team, you will participate in decision‑making, teaching, leadership and quality improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes and program operations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet practice requirements in all states employed.
• Entry level RN with <2 years in nephrology nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.
• Document data and adjust treatment plans as indicated in the patient record.
• Educate patients and families about learning needs and care plans.
• Coordinate communication with dialysis providers and facility personnel for continuity of care.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Direct and provide safe patient care for assigned patients as prescribed.
• Participate in staff training and orientation and support specialized nursing instruction as needed.
• May work in outpatient facilities as required and participate in on-call rotations.
