Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care seeks an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Inpatient Services CAP-1 track. You will coordinate patient care, assess needs, and collaborate with the health care team to deliver effective dialysis treatment and education to patients and families within a hospital setting.

As part of the Clinical Advancement Program, you will engage in ongoing learning, training, and performance improvement activities while supporting supervision and guidance from experienced staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in all states in which he or she is employed.

Responsibilities

• Performs all essential functions under the direction of the Supervisor and with guidance from the Educator, Preceptor or another RN.
• Collects and analyzes patient data pre– during – post treatment and adjusts the treatment plan as indicated.
• Provides patient and family education on learning needs.
• Recognizes and reports variations in patient status to health team members.
• Delivers safe, effective care for dialysis procedures and coordinates communication with dialysis providers and facility staff.
