Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse in Inpatient Services under the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP). The RN CAP 1 will provide and coordinate clinically competent care, including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation, for an assigned patient group, with potential delegation to direct care staff.

The role involves teaching, leadership, and quality improvement activities within a dialysis care team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification
• Must meet the practice requirements in all states in which he or she is employed.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Coordinate care with nurses, LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians.
• Participate in education, leadership and quality improvement activities.
• Direct and support safe, effective patient care as prescribed for dialysis procedures.
• Maintain documentation in patient records and report changes to the care team.
• Participate in on-call rotation and travel as required.

Education

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
