Job summary

Savista is seeking a skilled inpatient coder to review clinical documentation and assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes for facility inpatient records. You will validate MS-DRG calculations and ensure accurate abstracting of data for regulatory compliance and billing purposes.

The role requires active AHIMA or AAPC credentials and at least two years of recent inpatient coding experience, with strict HIPAA compliance and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Pass pre-employment skills assessment.
• Active AHIMA or AAPC credential (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, COC, CCS-P, CPC or related).
• Two years of recent and relevant hands-on coding experience with Acute Inpatient records.

Responsibilities

• Select and sequence ICD-10 CM and PCS codes for Acute Facility Inpatient.
• Review and analyze records to ensure MS-DRG assignments reflect diagnoses/procedures.
• Abstract clinical data to support diagnoses and discharge disposition.
• Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.
• Stay current with ICD-10 guidelines and coding regulations.
