Job summary

Allegheny Health Network in Carlisle, PA is seeking a nursing assistant to provide direct patient care and support unit operations. You will assist the RN in caring for stable and acutely ill patients, document in the EMR, and help maintain a safe, clean patient environment.

Training is provided and you will be under supervision by RNs and Charge Nurses. Compliance with HIPAA, privacy policies, and hospital procedures is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
• Basic math and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide and document direct patient care: ADLs, vitals, mobility, specimen collection, I&O, meals, height/weight.
• Participate in quality initiatives and bedside shift reporting for safety and patient satisfaction.
• Document vital signs, weights, I&O, and treatments; report changes to nursing staff.
• Assist with unit activities such as supply stocking and equipment cleaning.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
