Job summary

Allegheny Health Network in Erie, PA is seeking a nurse aide to provide direct patient care on the inpatient unit under RN supervision. The role involves assisting with activities of daily living, taking vital signs, and supporting patient comfort and safety in stable conditions.

You will work in a rotating full-time schedule across day, evening, overnight and weekend shifts, with 36 hours per week. Strong communication, reliability and adherence to HIPAA and hospital policies are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to attend 2 weeks of training.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics.
• Basic computer skills.
• Preferred: enrolled in ASN or BSN program with at least one clinical rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provides, obtains or performs and documents direct patient care and activities such as: ADLs, vitals, ambulation, specimen collection, intake/output, meals, height/weight, glucose testing, bladder scanning, transport, and documentation.
• Participates in quality and patient satisfaction initiatives including bedside shift report, hourly rounding and safety practices.
• Documents vital signs, weights, I&O, restraints, specimen collection and reports changes to nursing staff.
• Participates in unit activities such as supply stocking and equipment cleaning.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education
