Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a nursing support role to provide direct patient care under the supervision of RNs on an inpatient unit in Erie, PA. The role includes assisting with admissions, discharges, and transfers, documenting care, and helping maintain a clean, safe patient environment.

The incumbent will participate in essential duties such as vital sign documentation, I&O tracking, and assisting with activities of daily living, while following HIPAA and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED and ability to read, write, and follow instructions.
• Ability to attend 2 weeks of training and perform basic math.
• Basic computer skills and ability to document care accurately.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of RN.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers on the inpatient unit.
• Document vital signs, I&O, and patient care activities in EMR.
• Participate in unit activities like supply stocking and equipment cleaning.
• Support quality and patient satisfaction initiatives and safe patient care.
