Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a nurse aide to provide direct patient care and assist with non-direct patient care unit coordination. The role supports RN supervision, maintains patient comfort, and helps with admissions, discharges, and transfers on a busy inpatient unit.

The incumbent will document care in the EMR, perform basic nursing tasks, and participate in safety and infection control initiatives as part of daily responsibilities. Training provided for those new to the field.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Limited or no experience acceptable; training provided.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Document vital signs and patient data; report changes to nursing staff.
• Participate in quality and patient satisfaction initiatives.
• Assist with admission, discharge, and transfer coordination on the unit.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.
