Job summary

Pembroke Hospital is seeking an Activity Therapist to join the inpatient behavioral health team. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week role requiring one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) and a schedule typically Tuesday - Saturday or Sunday - Thursday.

Pembroke Hospital is a 120-bed acute care inpatient behavioral health facility south of Boston, MA. The unit addresses teens to older adults and focuses on stabilizing and treating primary symptoms with compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a related field with certification progress or obtained in expressive, music, art, recreation, occupational, or physical therapy.
• Or a Bachelor's degree in recreational or expressive therapy with one of the listed certifications (CTRS, MT-BC, ATR-BC) or another certified expressive therapist modality.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial activity therapy assessment to set treatment goals.
• Facilitate groups on inpatient units.
• Document groups and coordinate with the treatment team.
• Educate Mental Health Associates for effective group facilitation.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation.
