Job summary

Pembroke Hospital, a 120-bed acute care inpatient behavioral health facility near Boston, is seeking an Activity Therapist for a full-time role. The position requires working one weekend day per week with a schedule typically Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday.

You will deliver expressive arts therapy, psychoeducational groups, and recreational activities on inpatient units as part of the multidisciplinary team. Join pembroke Hospital to contribute to a caring, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in related field and certification in expressive, music, art, recreation, occupational, or physical therapy.
• Bachelor's degree in recreational or expressive therapy with one of CTRS, MT-BC, ATR-BC, or other Certified Expressive Therapist modality.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial activity therapy assessment to develop appropriate treatment goals.
• Facilitate groups on the inpatient psychiatric units.
• Complete group documentation and communicate with other members of the treatment team via treatment planning and team meetings.
• Provide education to Mental Health Associates through both formal and informal means to ensure effective and appropriate therapeutic group facilitation.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
