Job summary

Quanta Services is seeking a Design Engineer - Transmission Line in Denver to design, build, maintain and upgrade high-voltage transmission infrastructure. You will perform PLS-CADD modeling, line routing and structure analysis while ensuring safety, quality and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 2+ years of experience with overhead transmission designs and proficiency with CAD tools. Travel up to 10% and a strong emphasis on documentation and collaboration are expected.

Qualifications

• Requires ABET-accredited B.S. in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• 2+ years of routing and design of high-voltage overhead transmission line facilities.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, ArcGIS, or similar CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead overhead transmission line design tasks including PLS-CADD modeling and line routing.
• Perform structure analysis, sag-tension calculations and pole loading assessments.
• Prepare engineering calculations and redlines for drafting.
• Ensure compliance with NESC, IEEE, ANSI, IBC codes and project standards.
• Collaborate with project teams to develop effective design solutions.
