Job summary

The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Murfreesboro is hiring a full-time Technology Foundations instructor to teach high school and adult students at the Murfreesboro Campus. This in-person role requires at least 37.5 hours weekly and reports to the Vice President of Instruction and Accreditation.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field with teaching experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to develop engaging curricula and

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or subject area from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum three years of teaching experience.
  • Ability to teach Basic Math, Reading Comprehension, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Blueprint Reading.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

  • Develop an effective course of study with materials and resources from simple to complex.
  • Coordinate with program instructors to align courses with shop or classroom learning.
  • Develop and execute student evaluations based on course objectives.
  • Maintain a well-organized, safe shop and classroom; manage student behavior.
  • Prepare and file required reports and keep records such as progress and attendance.
  • Provide supervision of the class when needed and participate in professional development.
