Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of three years in Automotive Service Industry.
  • Graduate of a one-year diploma in Automotive Technology or four years as Automotive Technician.
  • Willingness to complete ASE Master Certification within six months.
  • Ability to teach effectively with strong communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate classroom and laboratory instruction aligned to industry standards.
  • Evaluate student progress, assign grades, maintain attendance records.
  • Advise students on academic and career goals and support retention.
  • Order and manage instructional supplies and equipment within budget.
  • Collaborate to align curriculum and enhance program effectiveness.
  • Build industry relationships to create apprenticeships and job placements.
  • Maintain PSLO and COE reports with program leadership.
  • Maintain required office hours from 7:30am to 3:00pm, Monday–Friday.
