ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education is seeking a Special Education Teacher for our Elementary Education program. The role supports students with diverse needs, delivering targeted instruction and using IEPs to guide learning within center/classroom settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field.
• IL professional educator credential in progress.
• IL SSE or LBS1 credential in progress.
• Experience with IEPs and curriculum design.
• Experience in alternative or behavioral health settings.

Responsibilities

• Create an inclusive classroom environment and involve families and staff in the educational process.
• Deliver differentiated instruction and support in accordance with IEP goals.
• Manage and document student progress, plan lessons, and maintain records.
• Implement PBIS and foster positive behavior and safety in the learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers in co-teaching settings to meet diverse student needs.
