Job summary

Buckeye Corrugated, Inc. is seeking a Packaging Structural Designer to lead concepts from concept to completion in Syracuse. You will design corrugated packaging and point-of-purchase displays, collaborating with customers and the sales team to develop new products and applications.

The role requires strong CAD skills, 3D visualization, and proficiency with Artios CAD and Adobe Creative Cloud. Travel between divisions is expected, and a competitive salary supports a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in structural/packaging design or related field.
• 3–5+ years of packaging/product design experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Aptitude for 3D visualization and design.
• Attention to detail with ability to switch tasks quickly.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules, policies and procedures at all times.
• Design structural solutions for corrugated packaging and displays.
• Translate customer needs into drawings, designs and prototypes.
• Collaborate with sales, customers and production teams.
• Create and ship corrugated samples for sales and customers.
• Develop art files for printing methods and graphics solutions.
• Support growth by developing customer relationships and assisting sales.
