Job summary

Buckeye Corrugated, Inc. is seeking a design-focused professional to develop structural solutions for corrugated packaging and displays in a busy office/design department.

You will work with customer service and production to create schematics, design samples for sales, and prepare art files for printing. Responsibilities include collaborating with multiple departments, tooling management, and developing graphics solutions to support marketing and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in graphic design/packaging design.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
• Good knowledge of graphic design concepts and 3D visualization/design.
• Attention to detail with ability to switch tasks quickly.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, ArtiosCAD, AutoCAD, 3D modelling software and Illustrator.
• CAD table experience; prior corrugated industry experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Follow established safety rules, policies and procedures at all times.
• Work with vendors on tooling, ink, and design/production supplies.
• Check in and service tooling such as cutting dies and printing plates.
• Problem-solve with all departments to support efficient and safe manufacturing processes.
• Full-time role in an office/design department setting.
• Develop and design structural solutions for corrugated packaging and displays.
• Collaborate with customer service and production to maintain schematics for workflow.
• Design manufacturing and ship corrugated samples for sales and customers.
• Create, adjust and prepare art files for various printing methods.
• Create, adjust and maintain design and production forms.
• Work with other departments to create innovative graphics solutions.
• Assist growth by developing customer relationships and supporting sales with graphics.
• Understand marketing plans and assist sales with growth opportunities.
