Job summary

DIRTT Environmental Solutions is seeking a seasoned Interior Designer to guide clients from concept to realization using our Design Editor and BIM tools. You will review space plans, design client projects with DIRTT systems, and coordinate with architects, firms, and clients to define scope and ensure success.

Lead pre-construction activities, create renderings, and integrate Design Editor files with Revit/BIM360.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
• 3-5 years of DIRTT experience.
• Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting architectural drawings.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Strong time management and deadline orientation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Certs such as NCIDQ/LEED/EDAC are an asset.

Responsibilities

• Review space plans with the project team.
• Design client projects using our proprietary systems (Design Editor), from scratch or from AutoCAD/Revit files.
• Work with Architects, design firms, and clients to understand and finalize DIRTT scope.
• Lead pre-construction responsibilities during early project stages.
• Assist in pricing packages and renderings in Design Editor.
• Understand site conditions and design around issues.
• Integrate Design Editor files into Revit/BIM360 for coordination.
• Review order files and deliverables prior to DIRTT entry.
• Provide DIRTT design guidance as a SME.
• Understand local building codes.
• Collaborate with other DIRTT departments to ensure project success.
• Identify and solve issues with proposed designs and installations.
• Create revisions to Design Editor files and DIRTT shop drawings.
• Create visual renderings and 3D fly-throughs using Design Editor.
• Serve as the DIRTT point of contact for project team, factory, field reps, and technicians.
• Maintain DIRTT standards and Design Editor best practices.
• Develop and update design documentation as required.
• Share knowledge to develop skills within the design team.
• Track and maintain billable hours per task and project.
