Job summary

Tri-State Forest Products, Inc. in Hubbard, OH is seeking an Engineered Wood Products Designer to join our EWP team. This full-time role designs residential and light commercial floor and roof systems with our design team.

You will work closely with retailers and builders, interpret blueprints using design software, and help select the best products for each job. Training is provided. The position reports to the head of the EWP department, and we value accuracy, teamwork and a proactive,

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of architecture and/or CAD systems.
• Strong math skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Must be well organized and good at multitasking.
• Outgoing and professional personality with a 'can do' attitude.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with the design team.
• Design engineered wood products such as I-joist, wood beams and connectors into residential and commercial blueprints.
• Provide customer support answering questions about designs and other team members' work.
• Identify and recommend the best products for specific job applications.
• Interpret blueprints using design software to create placement estimate plans.
• Respond to inquiries to sell, train, and support engineered wood products.
