Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Cheshire, CT is seeking a Test Technician to troubleshoot, fabricate and document state-of-the-art test equipment for production and engineering evaluation. You will work with electro‑mechanical assemblies, read schematics, calibrate systems, and support engineers across multiple programs.

The role emphasizes hands‑on problem solving, collaboration with a team, and maintaining EH&S and quality standards in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• AA/AS degree or equivalent with 2+ years post-high school experience; 10+ years preferred.
• U.S. Person or eligible to obtain export authorizations required.

Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate, and document new test equipment for production and engineering evaluation testing.
• Support test engineering projects including upgrading existing test equipment.
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical test equipment.
• Read schematics and wire per standards; follow calibration procedures.
• Provide technical support to engineers and operations; train technicians.
