Collins Aerospace, a RTX company, is seeking a Senior Test Systems Technician to support, repair, and maintain electrical and electro‑mechanical test equipment in our Cheshire, CT facility.

Qualifications

• AA/AS degree with 8+ years experience in test systems.
• Hands-on experience with electronic and electro-mechanical test systems.
• Ability to read schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Knowledge of electronic test equipment and schematics.
• Experience identifying root-cause failures to component level.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office for reporting and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, repair, overhaul, and preventive maintenance on electrical and electro‑mechanical test systems
• Execute advanced fabrication, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance activities across a wide array of electrical and electromechanical equipment
• Perform detailed diagnostics using oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators/specialized electronic test instruments; isolate faults to component level
• Drive component-level corrective actions, including identifying required replacement parts and validating with functional testing
• Develop and refine maintenance procedures, repair instructions, and troubleshooting workflows to improve uptime
• Learn and operate all assigned test machines; perform maintenance and repair of subsystems to ensure test station availability
• Configure and instrument test stations according to specs, ensuring test integrity and compliance
