Job summary

Howard University’s Talent Acquisition team seeks a proactive Program Coordinator to oversee the Digital Learning & Innovation Space, managing daily operations, scheduling, and user engagement for students, faculty, staff, alumni, and external partners. You will lead programming and ensure facilities are secure, functional, and aligned with university policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required; three years of program coordination or facility management experience preferred.
• Experience coordinating events, scheduling, and supporting technology-enabled learning environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the Digital Learning & Innovation Space ensuring spaces are functional and welcoming.
• Coordinate scheduling and reservations using university systems.
• Serve as primary point of contact for facility users with scheduling assistance and guidance.
• Perform opening/closing procedures and ensure spaces are secured and tech is operational.
• Coordinate room configurations, audiovisual requirements, and tech support for events and meetings.
• Develop annual programming calendars with faculty, student organizations, and external partners.
• Monitor utilization and implement strategies to boost engagement and efficiency.
• Maintain inventories of equipment and supplies; coordinate repairs and replacements.
