Job summary

Wolf Greenfield seeks a Practice Innovation Attorney or Patent Agent to drive AI-enabled improvements in patent prosecution and counseling workflows. You will partner with lawyers, patent agents, technology specialists, and IT to design, pilot, and implement tools that increase efficiency and improve client service.

Balance of security, confidentiality, and innovation, with responsibility for vendor assessment and change management across the practice.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate and admission to a state bar (MA or NY preferred).
• 2–3 years practicing attorney or knowledge management attorney in a law firm or patent agent in a law firm.
• Familiarity with generative AI in legal IP practice and deployment considerations.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-impact strategies to improve client service and operational efficiency using knowledge management and AI tools.
• Lead implementation plans and pilot programs to integrate solutions into workflows.
• Contribute to vendor review processes, security, and compliance for new tools.
• Collaborate with IT and department leadership to assess tools and perform build-versus-buy analyses.
• Capture and organize firm knowledge into AI-ready assets and reusable playbooks.
• Educate attorneys on effective use of generative AI and workflow automation.
