Job summary

Cooley LLP is seeking an Innovation Counsel to join its Practice Innovation team to advance initiatives that maximize the value of our innovation technologies and practices.

Working under the guidance of the Lead Innovation Counsel, you will introduce new tools and processes, align with practice group leadership, resource attorneys, and education teams, and drive best practices that differentiate Cooley among law firms.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and iManage or equivalent legal tech platforms.
• 4+ years direct applicable experience in legal practice or legal technology adoption.
• Active bar membership in jurisdictions where you regularly work and where the office is located, if applicable.
• Juris Doctor or equivalent (US or non-US).
• Experience in leading cross-functional projects with legal technology teams and practice leadership.
• Understanding of large law firm financials and work allocation processes.

Responsibilities

• Support attorney-level input on targeted legal technology adoption initiatives.
• Design playbooks and best-practice resources for use by practice groups.
• Organize presentations, status reports, and executive briefings.
• Collaborate with innovation, operations, technology and practice groups on prioritization and execution.
