Job summary

Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP is seeking an Innovation Attorney – Transactional to lead the strategic adoption of generative AI in deal work. This role reports to the Director of Knowledge & Innovation and blends transactional expertise with technologist-driven workflows to improve speed, accuracy, and consistency in diligence, drafting, structuring, and closing.

Qualifications

• J.D. required.
• 3–5 years of substantive transactional practice at a major law firm.
• Experience with legal AI tools and familiarity with AI/ML concepts, LLMs.

Responsibilities

• Partner with attorneys to identify and implement AI applications across deal workflows.
• Configure and test AI-powered platforms for deal quality and accuracy.
• Develop, test, and refine prompts for transactional AI tools.
• Drive adoption of AI tools through training sessions and demonstrations.
• Contribute to governance, policies, and quality assurance for responsible AI use.
