Job summary

Boston Hale, an international law firm, seeks an Innovation & AI Attorney to transform how its transactional teams use AI, technology and knowledge. You will work directly with partners to identify pain points, redesign legal workflows and implement AI-enabled solutions that improve efficiency, quality and client delivery across matters in Chicago and New York.

The role requires a JD with US admission, 3–5 years’ transactional practice and 1–2 years’ AI/legal tech experience, plus hands-on work

Innovation & AI Attorney – Chicago / New York

An international law firm is seeking a Innovation & AI Attorney to help transform how its transactional teams use AI, technology and knowledge.

This role requires someone who has practised as a transactional attorney before moving into legal innovation/AI. You will work directly with partners and attorneys to identify pain points, redesign legal workflows and implement AI-enabled solutions that improve efficiency, quality and client delivery.

You will:

• Scope, test and implement legal AI and automation solutions.
• Develop AI-enabled transactional workflows and prompting strategies.
• Support adoption, training, pilots and change management.
• Improve access to precedents, know-how and matter data.
• Evaluate emerging legal technology and work with external vendors.

You must have:

• JD and admission to practise law in a relevant US jurisdiction.
• 3–5 years’ transactional practising experience.
• 1–2 years’ subsequent AI, innovation or legal technology experience.
• Hands-on experience with Harvey, Legora, CoCounsel, or comparable legal-specific AI such as Lexis+ Protégé, Vincent AI, Luminance or Spellbook.
