Job summary

Osceola County seeks an experienced professional to assist the Inmate Services Supervisor in administrative, supervisory, and professional work for the Inmate Services unit. You will help ensure compliance with statutes and regulatory standards while overseeing assigned functions and coordinating with courts and law enforcement.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice, Public Administration or closely related field required.
• At least two years of experience in inmate records, bonds/dockets, inmate programming, classification, probation, pretrial release or community corrections.
• Preferred: some lead/supervisory experience and leadership training/certification.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License.
• FCIC/NCIC certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Inmate Services Supervisor in planning and organizing division goals and activities.
• Train staff, coordinate staff functions, and manage schedules and performance.
• Ensure compliance with laws, rules, and regulatory standards (Federal/State/AC A).
• Oversee inmate processing, court data entry, releases, records, and reporting.
• Maintain liaison with Judiciary, Pre-Trial Release, Probation, Sheriff’s Office, Clerk of Court, and Public Defender’s Office.
